IGM Gymnastics has been voted on by our local community and has been awarded Best Gymnastics Gym, Best Summer Camps, best rec center, and Best Birthday Party Venue for kids by the Reader's Choice Award.
IGM is just minutes from Savage, Lakeville, Prior Lake, and Shakopee. The gym has been in their new location for 3 years and they have celebrated their 25 year anniversary last year and have been in business for 26 years! IGM Gymnastics is one of the largest in the area. They also have an air purification system and it is fully air-conditioned to keep the gymnasts healthy and comfortable. Gymova equipment is used at IGM which is top-of-the-line equipment.
IGM Gymnastics offers recreational and competitive gymnastics programs for boys and girls ages 18 months to teens who love to have fun and learn new skills in a safe environment. Gymnasts are invited to join IGM’s competitive team based on their skill, desire, and work ethic. All programs are developed by professional coaches who strive for growth, accomplishment and most importantly the safety of all gymnasts.
Throughout the year IGM Gymnastics offers boys and girls team gymnastics, an Xcel Team, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics for boys and girls, day camps, open gyms, parties, sleepovers, Open houses, parents' night out and many other fun events. They also offer free trial requests if you child wants to give gymnastics a try.

About IGM Gymnastics
Did you know that IGM has Olympic history?
Nellie Kim, being a 5-time Olympic gold medal gymnast. Nellie competed in both the 1976 and 1980 Olympic Games, as well as countless National and International competitions for the former Soviet Union. Since 2004, Nellie has been the President of the FIG Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Technical Committee. In her current role, she has pioneered the redesign of the International Code of Points in 2006 and has been the head judge at international competitions that includes the Olympic Games. Together both Irena and Nellie has written the curriculum for IGM. Read more about Nellie's Olympic history HERE. There is a lot of history and knowledge as in designing programs that help gymnasts succeed.
Here are the Gymnastic Programs at IGM
Parent and Tot
(18mo-3.5yrs) In this parent participation class, parent and toddler share in the fun of the class. Professional instructors set up age appropriate equipment, build obstacle courses, and play kid friendly music. Children work on coordination, rhythm, spacial awareness, social and motor skills.
Recreational Gymnastics
(3-5.5yrs) Kids have fun learning the fundamentals of gymnastics on bars, beam, floor and trampoline. This class is focused on developing coordination and listening skills. Children build confidence without the supervision of mom or dad.
(5yrs+) Students work to develop the skills on all of the events in gymnastics including vault, bars, beam, floor, & trampoline. You will see your daughter's energy channeled into flexibility, strength, and coordination.
(5yrs+) In these levels, boys work on developing and strengthening the skills consistent with the 10 levels of gymnastics. Men’s gymnastics events include floor, vault, rings, parallel bars, high bar and pommel horse. Fun and challenging skills motivate the gymnasts to continue to practice!
4yrs+) : This girls‐only program teaches gymnasts the fundamentals of Rhythmic gymnastics including ballet, dance, flexibility, and handling apparatus (ball, hoop, clubs, rope, ribbon). Girls work on confidence, social skills, & conditioning.
(6yrs+) This class is great for all ability levels, and focuses on skills such as cartwheels, round-offs, handsprings, and eventually back‐tucks. We offer both beginner and advanced. Perfect for gymnasts & cheerleaders!
IGM Gymnastics Girls' Artistic Team (Pre-Team & Competitive Team)IGM Gymnastics Girls' Artistic program is developed and supervised by Irina Kim, sister of Olympic gold medalist and F.I.G. Vice President Nellie Kim.
We follow the USA Gymnastics curriculum to teach the fundamental gymnastics skills on the floor, trampoline, uneven bars, beam, and vault. This curriculum is based on the Junior Olympic program model which was developed with the belief that all athletes must have a solid foundation of specific skills in order to advance safely through the Levels (1-10, elite) within the program.
Gymnasts are placed in the appropriate level according to skills and age. Students advance to the next level based on regular testing of their ability. Competitive team levels advance to the next level after achieving a score mandated by USAG and after their coach(es) approval.
Our competitive team also competes throughout the year at various in-state and out-of-state invitational competitions as well as the Minnesota State & Regional Gymnastics competitions.

GM Gymnastics' Boys Team follows the USAG competitive levels 4-10. The boys compete numerous times throughout each season which runs from December through April. The team also participates in many events, including IGM's annual Winter Carnival, City Parades, and team fundraisers.
Our team is by invite only and gymnasts are placed on our pre-team level 3 group before starting on our competitive team.
IGM Gymnastics is the only club that offers a Rhythmic Gymnastics program in the southern half of the Twin Cities metro area, including Burnsville, Savage, Apple Valley, Prior Lake, Eagan, Lakeville, , Farmington and Shakopee. Our second location has been established for the communities of Edina, Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, Richfield, and Bloomington.
Rhythmic Gymnastics requires a high degree of athletic skill and focuses primarily on developing grace, ballet, flexibility, and eye-hand coordination. Routines are choreographed to music and are performed on the floor while using various types of apparatuses including ball, hoop, rope, clubs and ribbon. Gymnasts perform in four of the six events each year; events are rotated every two years (higher levels normally do not compete in the floor event).
The Xcel Program is designed to offer a broad-based, affordable competitive experience outside the traditional Jr. Olympic Program. IGM's program gives an opportunity for gymnasts to participate in organized gymnastics events and be a part of our team without entering the JO Program. We choose athletes for our Xcel team based on a good work ethic and wanting to compete without putting in 12+ hours a week. This is where their hard work ethic pays off! At IGM our Xcel girls are a part of the team!
