1.  She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2.  Mostly to clean the house.
3.  To help us out of there when we were getting born.

Keys To Happiness-Last Minute Mother's Day Gift

Everyone knows that the KEY to Mom's heart this mother's day is ORGANIZATION!  We modified this idea we found on familyfun.go.com and tried it ourselves for you!  It turned out to be totally gift worthy and certainly something the entire family can participate in.  After all, isn't that truly what mother's day is about.  Showering mom with tacky-licious gifts that little fingers toiled over?

Crunchy Raisin French Toast


Stuffed with Strawberries and Cream Cheese

Crunchy french toast, fresh strawberries and cream cheese, make a great treat for any mom on Mother's Day!

Ingredients:
4 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 slices cinnamon raisin bread
2 cups crushed cereal flakes (corn, bran, etc) - We used Kashi 7 Whole Grain Flakes
1 cup whipped cream cheese
1 cup diced fresh strawberries
2 tsp powdered sugar
Oil

Directions:
Crack eggs into medium size shallow bowl, beat lightly with a fork. Add milk and vanilla and stir well.

You know the deal--running into Target five minutes before a party is supposed to start, the kids are fighting over who is going to push the cart, you pick the first item you can find, stuff the present into a gift bag, and reluctantly purchase a bag of popcorn on the way out. The City of Lakeville is organizing a Citywide Garage Sale on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lakeville residents can submit the address of their garage sale to be included on a map of garage sale locations.  The map will be posted here beginning on Monday, April 23, and will be updated through Thursday, May 10 as registrations are received. Registrations received after May 10 and addresses falling outside the borders of the City of Lakeville will not appear on the map.

Provides children ages five and under an opportunity for recreational playtime in the gymnasium. Each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to participate in this drop-in program. The Parks and Recreation Department provides balls and other fun play equipment.  Supervision of children during tot open gym is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

Sunday, May 20 - Ride for the Greenways 2012

Join Bike Friendly Apple Valley, Valley Bike & Ski, HaveFunBiking.com, The City of Rosemount, Dakota County and The City of Apple Valley for a Community Ride with a purpose, to promote the development of Bike Greenways and Bike friendly sustainable communities we can all enjoy and share. We will start and finish at the Minnesota Zoo Puma Picnic Area and will ride through Apple Valley and Rosemount. Helmets required for all riders. Food and drinks provided at the start, finish and at rest stops along the way. There will be a family ride of about 11 miles as well as a street ride of about 30 miles for more advanced riders. Ride with us!
