Dive into a global adventure in the heart of Como Park Zoo & Conservatory and discover more to learn—and love—about the animals and plants in our care. Your Como Quest mission, if you choose to accept it, will send you and your team on a treasure hunt through the rainforest habitat of Tropical Encounters, the coastal landscapes of Como Harbor, the tundra of Polar Bear Odyssey and the lush gardens of the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory on an unforgettable adventure exploring Minnesota’s most visited conservation destination.

Como Friends’ Como Quest is a wild exploration designed for multigenerational fun, as kids and adults work together to unlock conservation clues and uncover exciting new secrets about animals, plants, and the planet we share. With an interactive scavenger hunt app and an adventurous spirit, your team of treasure hunters will dig deep into Como’s amazing animal and plant collections, while supporting the best care possible for the animals and plants and free admission that is so important to our community.

Como Zoo is thrilled to announce the arrival of an adorable baby Dall’s sheep, born on Easter Sunday, adding an extra dose of cuteness to the holiday festivities. The newest addition to the zoo family is the fifth offspring of proud mama Sunny, a 5-year-old Dall’s sheep, and dashing dad Sylvester, an 8-year-old stud.

Dall’s sheep fans and Como Quest participants will have the opportunity to participate in the naming of this precious lamb at our event, Saturday, May 4th. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see how your cute kiddos grow with Como Zoo’s sweet lamb!

Como Quest is a team activity! Tickets are $20 per person and sold individually so you can build a team of any size. Children ages three and under participate for free. Your team includes all adults and children who are participating in the event. For the best experience, we recommend teams of 4-6 players per team.

Giraffe Party Add-on | 8:15 a.m.–9:00 a.m.
$15 per ticket (Guests must purchase a General Admission ticket to participate)

Put your adventure hats on early and join us to feed the giraffes before Como Quest begins! Whether you’ve only seen the giraffes from afar or you can’t get enough fun facts, kids and adults alike are guaranteed to learn something new at this exciting experience. Let your curiosity lead the way during a zookeeper Q & A and discover something new about these incredible animals from our giraffe education station with skull, vertebrae, and other giraffe artifacts. Last but certainly not least, experience the thrill of getting up close with these gentle giants for a chance to feed them their favorite snack, romaine lettuce! You’ll receive a photo of you with our giraffes to commemorate your fun experience!

While Como Quest is great for kids of all ages, adventurers under 4 years old can take on the Cubs Quest, a paper scavenger hunt available at the event tailored to the smallest explorers.

All players will enjoy a family-friendly mix of hands-on activities, games, and crafts for kids at Como Quest. You’ll also have the opportunity to support Como by bidding on Mystery Boxes, donating to the Como Quest Fund-a-Mission and participating in other fun-filled opportunities for philanthropy.

COMO QUEST MYSTERY BOXES
Como Quest attendees have the opportunity to bid on a handful of curated Mystery Boxes containing family-friendly items and only-Como experiences like behind the scenes tours and animal feedings! The contents of each Mystery Box are just that – a mystery! – but each box will have a theme and accompanying hints about what treasures might be inside each box. Find the closed-bid silent auction for Mystery Boxes at Base Camp, along with other games and activities!
