Music Together! Fall Sessions Starting!

Check out the Variety of Classes!

By Cheryl Hornstein, Director of Let's Play! Music Together September 22, 2016
Families want flexibility in their schedules so we are doing our best to provide many options for families to come to a Family Music Class.

“We are so excited to offer classes at a new location in Savage starting in September” said Cheryl Hornstein, Center Director of Let’s Play! Music Together. “To better serve our families, we will be running Evening classes in both Eagan and Savage, and a Saturday class in Eagan.”

Music was such a huge part of my life as a little girl. I remember singing in the car with my mom, and starting to sing in choirs in 1st grade.  That is one of the reasons I am so passionate about bringing Music Together into all of your family's lives too! With all of life's seeming ups and downs, music is something that lifts us up out of ourselves and helps us to remember everything that is good and right with the world!

In addition, we know that “Music learning supports all learning.” Studies have shown that children who have music as a regular part of their lives have the neuroplasticity necessary for learning in all areas of development from large and small motor coordination, to language development to socialization and more.

Music Together® classes will start you on the path to becoming a musical family. Specifically designed for infants through 5 years old. Music Together allows babies to embrace, enjoy, and express their inborn musicality, and provides an opportunity for older children to lead and experience music at their own level. In your weekly class, you will spend 45 music-filled minutes singing, dancing, and playing with your child, all in the company of other parents and guided by an early childhood music specialist. You’ll learn how your child is developing musically and how you can support this growth at home. Each class includes your own CD, songbook and access to digital downloads and other resources on Music Together’s Family Music Zone.  You’ll leave with lots of ideas on how to play and bond musically together and infuse music into your child’s everyday life.
Cheryl Hornstein, Center Director of Eagan’s Let’s Play! Music Together recently attended a workshop on integrating babies into the Family Class.  She said, “I now have even more tools to involve all of my students in class, from the smallest infant to the tallest 5 year old! Music Together® is like no other program in Eagan or Savage, and I am proud to serve the community and help parents and their young children bond through music and movement.”
