20 Daily Goals For Happiness & Joy In Your Life!

We all know that we are in charge of our own happiness and how we portray ourselves can rub off onto others. It is important to stay positive. Here are some of my goals to help bring happiness to myself and those around me.

  1. Stop comparing yourself to others! Be proud of who YOU are. You are unique and that is what sets you apart from everyone else. Shine your light for the world to see! BE YOU tiful!
  2. Replace worrying with gratitude. Stop worrying about things you can't control and be grateful for what you have. Remember someone always has it worse than you!
  3. Make it a goal to be in the moment! Put the electronics down for awhile and actually communicate with those around you. Human communication is a key to life! There will be time for electronics later but socialize and enjoy being with those around you.
  4. Listen to the whispers. So many times there are quiet whispers that are meant to be taken seriously. It is ok to go out of your comfort zone. it is there that many great things can happen.
  5. If you don't like something about yourself, change it! You are in control of YOU! It is your life!
  6. Give without expecting anything in return. If you are giving to expect a return you are doing it for the wrong reason. Generosity makes you feel good and it brings happiness to those you share with.
  7. Focus on faith and family! Find time to practice your faith. Your family is so important and sharing your feelings with them is important too. Your family is there when no one else is. Live by your words. You are a teacher to your children and they learn from example. Be a good example for them.
  8. "Be the difference you want to see in the world!" Be kind to yourself and also to others around you.
  9. Be more tolerant of those who don't see things your way. We are all entitled to our own opinion. It is ok to agree to disagree!
  10. Instead of being envious of your friends/family, start genuinely being happy for others. 
  11. Don't let fear stop you from going after your goals and dreams. Sometimes your greatest accomplishments will come from stepping outside of your comfort zone. We get too comfortable with routine; change it up. You never know what it may do for you.
  12. Listening is so important. Sometimes it is just a good idea to stop talking and really listen to your friends/family/co-workers. Listening is something you have to work at. Too many people are all about themselves. Communication is a two way street. Truly show you care by listening.
  13. Organization is something that brings me joy. I am a huge believer that "everything has a home" and should be returned to that home when you are done using it. This is such an important key in maintaining order to your home. Before I leave a room I look around and make sure it is cleaner than when I got to it. A little bit at a time helps your home stay in order.
  14. Dedicate some time in your day for YOU! Meditate, read, garden, pray, read a book, have a cup of coffee/tea, or whatever makes you happy. You will be a better wife/mother, husband/father if you have some time to yourself. It is amazing what a little YOU time can do for your outlook for the day.
  15. Be thankful for your life! Don't hold back from doing things you enjoy doing. Enjoy the little things in life. You will see that those little things may be what matters most.
  16. Surround yourself with people who truly care for you! A friend recently told me that she read an article that you become like the 5 people you surround yourself with. Be picky on who you surround yourself with because you may be like them.
  17. Don't let your frustrations take over. You are in control of your feelings. Let them go! What good does it do you to dwell on your frustrations and move on! Learn to laugh and "turn your frown upside down".
  18. Don't be afraid of change. Change sometimes opens the doors to more opportunities. 
  19. "Count your blessings, no matter how small!" There is so much in life to be thankful for. 
  20. "Find something good in every day!" Give others a smile, you may be the only smile of their day. Practice kindness!
There are SO many ways to strive towards for a happy life. It is important to remember that you are in control of your emotions. I read motivational quotes every day and share them with others on Facebook, through my work, and in my daily life. Then the most important thing to do with those motivations and inspirations is to act on them and live in such a way that being happy is the most important thing in your life.
